Riot is the first book I have read by Walter Dean Myers, which is kind of surprising since he is a "legend" in the teen fiction world. I chose Riot because, after reading the summary in the book jacket, I realized I had never heard of this major riot that took place in New York City during the Civil War/5.

Unforeseen Riot is the first book in the Riot MC series by author Karen Renee. I just love MC romances, especially the ones that have a dominant alpha male, bad boy.

And let me tell you, Callous (Cal) is definitely one. We are introduced to him when Mallory (Mal) goes out to meet some friends/5(). My Riot is both an unflinching portrait of downtown New York in the s and a testament to the perils of growing up too fast.
